We need each other on the journey. Traveling alone is not only lonely; it is also foolish.
Daily Devotion
To Give You Victory
Are you fighting a tough battle? Does the enemy seem bigger, faster, and stronger than you? Do you feel fear and even panic? Stop right there!
Christian Leadership
How are you doing, Christian leader? These principles are challenging. At the end of the day, these are the areas in which we will be judged.
Deliverance, Provision, Protection
Giving is not to be legalistic or burdensome. It is an act of worship when we bring our offering to him. Someone has well said, “Give according to God’s blessing; lest he bless according to your giving.”
Ready, Set, Live!
What does the Lord ask of you? That’s a great question, isn’t it? What does God really want me to do? Here are five answers from today’s passage.
The Curse of Compartmentalization
This spiritual wholeness is how God wants me to impress who he is on my children. They shouldn’t see God as someone who lives in a church building. Spiritual wholeness teaches our children that God is alive and active in every area of life.
A Continuing Work
When a godly leader has truly lived a life of faith, they can say to those who come after them, “Do not be afraid . . . the Lord your God himself will fight for you.”
The Many Gates
We must also guard the gate of our eyes . . . what we watch and look at. The gate of our mind . . . the things we think about. The gate of our emotions . . . the things we desire. The gate of our will . . . the mission of our lives.
Stand Accountable
God says that nothing in all creation is hidden in his sight. “Everything is uncovered and laid bare before the eyes of him to whom we must give an account” (Hebrews 4:13). You may pull the wool over the eyes of men, but nothing is hidden from God.
Unreserved Focus, Direction, and Trust
I don’t know about you, but I can’t think of a better description of a life well-lived—“He/She followed God wholeheartedly.” Do you want that on your headstone?
Don’t Wander
The obstacles you face today may seem as impossible as the cities and people in the Promised Land seemed to the ten fearful spies. You may feel small and weak compared to your problems. And you know what? You are! But God isn’t.
Between the Wrinkles
What’s the truth we can learn from God’s immutable nature? God will do whatever he says. God will fulfill whatever he promises. No action of God will be left undone.
