Voices of Opposition – Part 1
It’s curious isn’t it, how a few choice words can sap our physical, emotional, and spiritual strength…how even heroes of the faith can be tempted to abandon God’s work by well-timed taunts and mockery.

Jesus is the One you’ve been waiting for. Have you asked him to be your King and rule on the throne of your heart?
Leadership is not some monolithic gift. It’s built, brick by passionate brick, virtue upon integrity.
We worship Jesus as our Savior who paid the penalty for our sin. And…we read and study the instruction of Jesus our Teacher, who provides the words of eternal life.
Your heart is full of dreams and disappointment. You want to make a difference for God but there have been significant obstacles in your path. Take heart again, because that’s the story of Nehemiah. And his experience can help put you back on the path to achieving your dreams.
Jesus, our Passover Lamb, gives us the right to become children of God and protects us from death—the final enemy. Because of Jesus, we will pass from death to life.
Facing a world crumbling under the weight of sin and selfishness, individual Christians are called to participate in a building program greater than themselves.
Have you seen the risen Savior in your darkened world? He is there! Follow him in the resurrection of new life!
How could a man who raised the dead…die? Confusion filled their hearts. Saturday was silent.
He gives us the invitation to help others take off their grave clothes of guilt, unworthiness, legalism, pride, and baggage of the past—what a tremendous privilege. Jesus raises the dead and then lets us set the new believer free!
Sometimes, when you’re least expecting it, light shines into your life. You see…clearer than you’ve ever seen before. You see the way forward and you see the Savior who guides you.
Our eternal spirits will join our resurrected bodies and meet the Lord in the air to be with him forever! Each of us will have our “Lazarus” moment.
Are you on your back, staring at the ceiling or sky, and despairing of ever rising again?
Jesus offers us a future, and he works in our present. He sympathizes with our weaknesses and is there to meet the crying need of our hearts.
Conquering your fears doesn’t always require power and resolve. Sometimes the only remedy is a gentle touch, and kind command, from God.
Through Jesus, we have the promise that death has no power over us. We simply pass from life, as we know it, to eternal life with the Lord.
Sometimes we have problems with God’s plan. We misunderstand what he is up to. We fear the danger. But Jesus’ plan is always bigger than ours.
You may feel like Jesus is holding out on you. You may feel like he is staying away during your time of need. I don’t know Jesus’ plan for you. I just know that his plan is bigger than yours and mine. Trust him.
Even when obedience is hard, even when the journey is painful, even when we don’t understand, even when the nights are dark and long, there is no one else to turn to, and there is no other place to go. Only Jesus has the words of eternal life.
How about you? Are you still trying to work your way to God? Still trying to be good enough for him? Our only hope depends on what Jesus did for us.
