Psalm 145:14-21  
A psalm of praise. Of David.

The LORD upholds all who fall and lifts up all who are bowed down. The eyes of all look to you, and you give them their food at the proper time. You open your hand and satisfy the desires of every living thing. The LORD is righteous in all his ways and faithful in all he does. The LORD is near to all who call on him, to all who call on him in truth. He fulfills the desires of those who fear him; he hears their cry and saves them. The LORD watches over all who love him, but all the wicked he will destroy. My mouth will speak in praise of the LORD. Let every creature praise his holy name for ever and ever.

The journey is filled with dangers. The road signs for temptations are brightly lit, attractive, and luring. The path has treacherous downhill grades and exhausting climbs. Sometimes we get worn down. Sometimes we fall down.

The Lord upholds all who fall and lifts up all who are bowed down.

The journey is filled with decisions. There are different paths to different destinations. Our assessments are not always wise, our judgments not always prudent. Sometimes our choices weigh heavily on our souls.

The Lord upholds all who fall and lifts up all who are bowed down.

The journey is filled with dreams. There are things we want to accomplish. There are aspirations we long to achieve. The path does not always arrive at the doorstep of our desires. The death of our dreams leads to the land of great disappointment. 

 The Lord upholds all who fall and lifts up all who are bowed down.

Lord, thank You for holding me up even when I take the wrong path, make the wrong decision, and follow the wrong dream. Thank You for holding me up every step of the journey and delivering me home in victory! In Jesus’ name. Amen.
