The Dividing Line

by | Mar 8, 2019 | Daily Devotion, Gospels | 0 comments

John 5:22-23
Moreover, the Father judges no one, but has entrusted all judgment to the Son, that all may honor the Son just as they honor the Father. Whoever does not honor the Son does not honor the Father, who sent him.

Jesus is the dividing line. Whoever does not honor Him does not honor the Father, who sent Him.

Jesus is the dividing line. Many believe in God. Fewer trust in Jesus.

Jesus is the dividing line. He walked on earth — fully God, fully man.

Jesus is the dividing line. He taught with authority to prove He was God.

Jesus is the dividing line. He healed with power to prove His deity.

Jesus is the dividing line. He did not come to teach, heal or lead, but to save.

Jesus is the dividing line. The penalty for sin is death.

Jesus is the dividing line. Sinful man is in need of a perfect, sinless substitute.

Jesus is the dividing line. Jesus, the sinless One, died on our behalf.

Jesus is the dividing line. He bore our sins in His body on the cross.

Jesus is the dividing line. Only God can live a sinless life and die as a perfect sacrifice.

Jesus is the dividing line. Only a man can die in our place.

Jesus is the dividing line. Fully God, fully man, He died so we could live.

Jesus is the dividing line. Whoever does not honor Him does not honor the Father, who sent Him.

Lord Jesus, thank You for doing for me what I could not do for myself. Thank You for bearing my sins in Your body on the cross. Thank You for paying the penalty for my sins. Thank You for dying so that I could live. In Your name. Amen.
