Psalm 93
The LORD reigns, he is robed in majesty; the LORD is robed in majesty and armed with strength; indeed, the world is established, firm and secure. Your throne was established long ago; you are from all eternity. The seas have lifted up, LORD, the seas have lifted up their voice; the seas have lifted up their pounding waves. Mightier than the thunder of the great waters, mightier than the breakers of the sea—the LORD on high is mighty. Your statutes, LORD, stand firm; holiness adorns your house for endless days.

The LORD sits securely on His throne. Magnificence envelops Him. He is armed with omnipotence.

The LORD sits securely on His throne. He is the King over all nations and rulers. Under His throne the world is established, firm, and secure.

The LORD sits securely on His throne. His reign is not temporary. He does not govern with term limits. His kingship is from eternity past to eternity future.

The LORD sits securely on His throne. The mighty oceans are powerful. Their waves can take down huge ships, crush beachfront property, and flood entire communities. But God is “mightier than the thunder of the great waters, mightier than the breakers of the sea.”

The LORD sits securely on His throne. The grass withers and the flowers fade but God’s Word stands firm, set apart “for endless days.”

The LORD sits securely on His throne. He is in charge. Our King reigns!

Father, thank You for the confidence of knowing that You are now and will forever be on Your majestic throne. Thank You that no one or no thing can ever thwart Your eternal plan. And thank You for the personal plan that You are working in my life. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
