Are you in a battle? A battle to keep your marriage? A battle with a wayward child? A battle with disease? A battle with doubt? An internal struggle to follow the right path when everything within you is screaming to take the detour? We constantly fight against the allied forces of the world, the flesh, and the devil.

Check out today’s passage. God helped his people during their battle because they cried out to him “in the battle.” God worked on their behalf because “they trusted in him.” He will do the same for you.

1 Chronicles 5:20

And when they prevailed over them, the Hagrites and all who were with them were given into their hands, for they cried out to God in the battle, and he granted their urgent plea because they trusted in him.

Talking Points

In the midst of your battle, cry out to God. Let him know that you are in a dangerous place.

  • Let him know that you are in desperate need of his strength.
  • Let God know that you trust him. Remember, he answered the people’s prayers because “they trusted in him.” He’ll do the same for you!

Father, I pray for all of us in a battle today. We cry out to you in the midst of the battle! We trust you in the midst of the battle! Come to our aid and give us your strength and deliverance. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
