Grace is the entire package. It initiates our relationship with God and takes us all the way home.

Titus 2:11-13
For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation for all people, training us to renounce ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright, and godly lives in the present age, waiting for our blessed hope, the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ….

Grace is the entire package. Not only does grace save us; it teaches us. Understanding that God has freely given us what we don’t deserve and could never earn should encourage the believer to say “No” to the wrong things and “Yes” to the right things. In the words of the song: ‘Twas grace that taught my heart to fear.

Grace is the entire package. Not only does grace save us; it keeps us. Grace produces the fruit of self-control. It guides us to do the right thing instead of following our “worldly passions.” It gives us the wherewithal to live godly lives even in this “present age.” In the words of the song: Through many dangers, toils and snares I have already come. ‘Tis grace hath brought me safe thus far….

Grace is the entire package. Not only does grace save us; it delivers us. By grace, we are “waiting for our blessed hope” that transfers us from this world to eternity. In the words of the song, …and grace will lead me home.

Father, thank you for the entire package of grace! In Jesus’ name. Amen.
