I recently spent time in Thailand. It was amazing to see the work that is being done there. At Faith House, girls destined for the sex trade are rescued, educated, and introduced to Jesus. We are thankful for the Thailand staff and their ministry to these girls. Paul said it this way in Romans 10:14-15.

Romans 10:14-15
How then will they call on him in whom they have not believed? And how are they to believe in him of whom they have never heard? And how are they to hear without someone preaching? And how are they to preach unless they are sent? As it is written, “How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the good news!”

Salvation is of the Lord. He is the One who breathes life into the spiritual corpse. He is the One who brings a person to himself. And…amazingly God uses people in this supernatural process.

You and I have the privilege of carrying and proclaiming the message of salvation. The words that place a person on the road to an eternal relationship with the living God come from our lips! God then works in the heart of the hearer to understand the good news and trust in Jesus alone as the only way to the Father. We get to partner with God in the eternal work of salvation!

Paul ends the truth of this amazing partnership with a quote from the Old Testament. Isaiah 52:7 refers to runners who brought exiles the good news of their imminent release from captivity in Babylon. You and I are now the runners who bring the good news of release from the captivity of sin. Let’s go do some running!

Father, thank you for the privilege of partnering with you in the amazing work of salvation. Give us the courage to run often and run well with the good news! For Jesus’ sake. Amen.
