Call to Praise

Psalm 148:1-6
Praise the LORD. Praise the LORD from the heavens; praise him in the heights above. Praise him, all his angels; praise him, all his heavenly hosts. Praise him, sun and moon; praise him, all you shining stars. Praise him, you highest heavens and you waters above the skies. Let them praise the name of the LORD, for at his command they were created, and he established them for ever and ever—he issued a decree that will never pass away.

The psalmist sounds the call for all God’s people. It is a call to praise. Let’s take time today to answer the call and praise the Lord. I encourage you to use this guide each day to proclaim your worship to the living God.

Praise God for causing you to see your sin and need for a Savior.
Praise God for introducing you to Jesus and allowing you to trust in Him.
Praise God for giving you His Holy Spirit to comfort, convict, and empower you.
Praise God for His Word that changes, impassions, and encourages your heart.
Praise God for the church where you find spiritual connection.
Praise God for the spiritual growth that He is allowing in your life.
Praise God for health.
Praise God for the physical challenges that He is using to grow you.
Praise God for your mother and father.
Praise God for your spouse.
Praise God for the gift of children.
Praise God for friends who love, encourage, and spur you on.
Praise God for the job He has provided.
Praise God for the roof over your head.
Praise God for the daily provision of food.
Praise God for His great creation—sun, moon, stars, and the world we live in.
Praise God for another day of life.
Praise God for His mercies that are new each morning.
Praise God for the home that awaits you in heaven.

Praise the Lord!

Father, You alone are worthy of all my praise. Help me proclaim Your greatness throughout each day of my life. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
