Revelation 1:8

“I am the Alpha and the Omega,” says the Lord God, “who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty.”

The Hebrew name El Shaddai communicated a sense of power. It means “All-Sufficient One,” “the God of the Mountains,” and “God Almighty.” His power is not limited by nature or norms. El Shaddai will always deliver on his promises.

The God Almighty in Genesis is still the Almighty God in Revelation. The Greek word pantokrator describes Jesus, God in the flesh, as the One who will always be the all-powerful, omnipotent God.

I don’t know what your situation is today, but I know that Jesus is the Almighty. He is still the all-powerful God. No problem is too big for him to handle. No issue is impossible. The Almighty will always keep his promises. Trust him and watch him work in your life.

Lord Jesus,

Today I trust in you—the Almighty. My challenge is not impossible for you. My situation is not outside of your power. I trust you to give me all I need. I wait on you to give me all you’ve promised.

In your name. Amen.
