When God wants you to do great things for Him, He is not satisfied with a good start but no follow-through. Get up and get to work. Finish the task God has called you to!
The author, probably Jeremiah, understands that Babylon was used merely as a human instrument of God’s judgment. Yet through his laments, he wrestles with the ways of God.
Maybe today the scars of your life show that you have lived far from God. You know the consequence of walking away. You know the inward pain and regret. You know the hurt that you have caused others. But please hear this – there is no sin that God cannot and will not forgive.
As believers, our purpose is to do great things for God. Our ambition should be to follow hard after Him.
