Life is Uncertain

Joshua 21:45

Not one of the Lord’s good promises to the house of Israel failed; every one of them was fulfilled.

There are many things in life that change and take us by surprise. Illness barges in like an uninvited intruder. Death hits us hard like a rogue wave and bowls us over with grief. Separation and divorce were the last things we thought would ever happen to us. We planned on retiring from the company; then the job went away. One thing is certain; life is uncertain.

But there is one thing that we can be sure of, one thing that will come to pass. We can live with the confidence of knowing that every promise of God will be fulfilled; not one of them will fail. “God is not a man, that he should lie, nor a son of man, that he should change his mind. Does he speak and then not act? Does he promise and not fulfill?” (Numbers 23:19).

Without God, life is a rollercoaster of emotions. Without God, unexpected changes will blow us in every direction. Without God, our life is foundationless, like a house built on sand. But a relationship with God through his Son, Jesus Christ changes everything. He is our constant. He is our anchor. When we know God, we will be able to say with Joshua, “[I know with all my heart and soul] that not one of all the good promises the Lord [my] God gave [me] has failed.”

Father, thank you for all of your promises and thank you for keeping every one of them. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

This was a God-Sent and appointmented message for me, tonight. I live on Oakland California, and my mother is living in a skilled nursing facility here. She’s aging and has multiple serious health issues. The coronavirus has arrived here in the Bay Area, and is spreading rapidly. She’s already caught one contagious upper respiratory condition, while living in the facility. I’m scared for her. God has brought her through SO much. Her faith in Him is strong. God is will continue to be with us.
He is the same yesterday, today, and forevermore.
    Amen and Hallelujah!!!

Thank you so much for this message.

    With love and gratitude,

    – Adrea
